The former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria and the Governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 general elections, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has denied report circulating the social media space, speculating that he might team up with Governor Seyi Makinde, consequent upon recent happenings in the APC.
Responding on behalf of his principal, Comrade Femi Awogboro, Adelabu’s media assistant described the fake report as not just being a figment of the peddler’s wild imagination but an insanity-driven wishful political permutation.
In as much as the teeming supporters of Adelabu are expectant of his reaction to the purported chairmanship certificate issued to Mr Isaac Omodewu, consultations and discussions with other party stalwarts are in progress but that singular event is not enough to dump a party Chief Adebayo Adelabu has contributed in building.
“What is happening is an internal party matter that bothers on Justice, fairness, equity and internal democracy and we are certain that the wish of the majority shall prevail.
“Let me categorically state that Chief Adelabu is so passionate about his party, APC and is committed towards ensuring the victory of Oyo APC at the 2023 general elections. Chief Adelabu is ready to serve the people of Oyo state come 2023 under the platform of APC. The fake report circulated on social media is not only baseless but also an attempt to create further confusion in the progressive folds. Our online media practioners need to be more discerning and professional in handling sensitive issues especially politics and exercise caution before helping to spread fake news” Awogboro reteirated.
“I can authoritatively tell anyone who cares to listen that this report is Junk and has no single iota of truth therein. APC is Adelabu’s party and no force, individual or group can provoke him and his massive supporters to act in such manner. No one or force is a threat to Adelabu and his aspiration. He has a huge base loyalists and unmoved supporters that are passionately committed to the realisation of his guber ambition within the APC. Please disregard the “RUBBISH”, Awogboro concluded.
