As the PDP government of Governor Seyi Makinde marks one hundred days in office, the Speaker OYHA, Hon Adebo Ogundoyin says the present administration in the state has not only redefined democracy but also rekindled the spirit of good governance in the people of the pacesetter state.
Hon Ogundoyin in his congratulatory message to Governor Makinde on his hundred days in office as Oyo Governor said the action-oriented approach of the Governor has made him to record uncommon feats and accomplishments which has put the state on the match towards reclaiming its pride of place among committee of states in Nigeria.
The Speaker said the Governor has proved to be a quintessential, God-sent and purposeful leader who is laying a solid foundation for accelerated growth and development in Oyo state.
He stressed that every doubting Thomas in Oyo state has being convinced of the/ policy direction of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration which is to promote good governance and better the lots of the people of the state.
According to him,the abolition of all fees in public primary and secondary schools in Oyo state, allocation of ten percent budget to the education sector, rehabilitation and completion of all model schools started by the immediate past administration, payment of salaries and pensions every 25th of the month, purchase of one hundred vehicles to boost security in the state as well as domestication of the anti-graft agency in Oyo state are few of the notable achievements of this government in just one hundred days.
Hon Ogundoyin added that the proscription of the activities of the Oyo state NURTW by the Governor ,appointment of eminent personalities and highly cerebral individuals into his cabinet particularly the appointment of youth as members of the executive council and his agriculture initiatives among others are all commendable feats achieved by Governor Seyi Makinde.
“All these were achievable because the Governor hit the ground running immediately he came on board on the 29th of May .2019 and has continued to run a transparent and all inclusive government. He has also given adequate support the Oyo state house in our quest to make quality laws that will have direct bearing on the lives of the people.”The Speaker said
While praying God to grant Governor Seyi Makinde the divine strength ,wisdom and favour to make history by making Oyo state a model of ideal democracy and good governance, Hon Ogundoyin seek support of well meaning citizens and the entire residents for the PDP led government in the state in its resolve to deliver on its mandate and election campaign promises.
