Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Avian specialties Nigeria Limited, Ibadan, Gbenga James, has petitioned Governor Abiola Ajimobi and relevant security agencies in Oyo state, over alleged threats to his life and properties by some unscrupulous elements.
The poultry farmer in the petition alleged that several attempts have been made on his life by some groups who claimed to be Omo Onile, led by one Mr. Olayiwola Sulu (a.k.a Salala).
He maintained that the Omo Onile are claiming that they have obtained a court order to execute actions, adding that investigation have revealed that the claim is false.
James revealed that sometimes in 2014, this same set of people came to attack him and they were arrested and detained at the Orita Police Station, as they were caught with some dangerous weapons they brought to him.
He said Olayiwola Sulu made a confessional statement that he was the one who sold the land for him after collecting millions of naira from me, promising not to come to the site again.
James, however, expressed surprise that he again received a distress call that this same set of people came again to the site with dangerous weapons again last week.
He said he had no option than to let members of the public know that his life and business are now in danger, as the people are threatening to waste “my life and also destroy all my houses and pens built on the land.”
He further stated the cost of the machinery stolen and destroyed at his farm is over N400 million.
