A frontline governorship aspirant under the All Progressives Congress, APC, Alhaji Yunus Akintunde, yesterday visited the family of late ex-member of Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ganiyu Waliu at his Oyo residence.
Waliu died on Monday October 30th in Oyo at age 45.
Akintunde, a kinsman of the deceased, while consoling the widow, children and family members, urged them to be calm and continuously offer prayers for the late politician.
The former commissioner described Waliu as a dependable ally, revealing how he met him few weeks before his death. “He didn’t show any sign of ill-health when we met. He was full of life. We discussed and promised to meet sooner. But who are we to question God when it is time? He might have died at a very young age, he left lasting legacies. Many people can confirm this. It’s not the number of years but the impact one is able to make,” Akintunde said.
