The Chairman, Oyo State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Akinwale better known as Wolekanle, has congratulated Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on the occasion of his 58th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader committed to good governance and grassroots development.
Wolekanle, in a congratulatory message made available to newsmen, commended Governor Makinde for his people-oriented policies, inclusive leadership style and sustained reforms across critical sectors of the state’s economy.
He noted that the governor’s administration has continued to strengthen local government administration, promote workers’ welfare and deepen democratic governance at the grassroots level, adding that these efforts have contributed significantly to the steady development being witnessed across Oyo State.
The LGSC chairman prayed for good health, wisdom and renewed strength for Governor Makinde as he continues to steer the affairs of the state.
In the same vein, Wolekanle felicitated Christians in Oyo State and across Nigeria on the celebration of Christmas, urging them to reflect on the virtues of love, sacrifice, peace and unity exemplified by the birth of Jesus Christ.
He called on residents of the state to use the festive period to promote peaceful coexistence, tolerance and mutual understanding, while supporting the government’s efforts towards sustainable development.
Wolekanle wished Christians a joyful Christmas celebration and prayed for a prosperous and peaceful New Year for all residents of Oyo State.
