Bashorun Akinwale Akinwole, a prominent chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has commended Governor Seyi Makinde for the newly inaugurated Local Government Staff Training School in Ibadan.
This initiative is expected to significantly enhance the capacity of local government administration in the state.
In a statement released to journalists, Akinwole, also known as Wolekanle, praised the governor’s visionary leadership and commitment to improving governance at the grassroots level.
“The establishment of this training school is a monumental step towards ensuring that our local government officials are well-equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to serve the people effectively,” Akinwole stated.
He emphasized that this initiative goes beyond building a structure; it’s about investing in human capital and strengthening democracy.
Akinwole highlighted that the robust training programs at the new facility will empower local government employees to tackle community challenges efficiently. This aligns with Governor Makinde’s education policies, which focus on increasing access to quality education and improving teacher quality .
Governor Makinde’s administration has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and capacity building, as evident in his previous initiatives, such as increasing access to quality education at primary and secondary levels by 11.3%. This new training school is another milestone in his goal of strengthening the state’s governance and democracy.
