For many months, insideoyo.com has observed the ‘uncommon’ silence of the lawmaker representing Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar.
Unlike before when he was the talk of town, Sugar has been ‘low key’ mode. Before, it was one week, one project.
According to a source who preferred anonymity, the lawmaker decided to ‘mellow down’ after ‘exhausting’ his savings.
Sugar, as the immediate past lawmaker representing Lagelu State constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly is popularly known, is said to be nursing an ambition to succeed Governor Abiola Ajimobi.
To realise his ambition, it was learnt that Sugar toured many of the local government areas in the state ’empowering’ people, with ‘resources meant for his federal constituency’. Not done, he was said to have appointed many legislative aides.
For months now, Sugar has not been visible like he used to be. A visit to his Iyana Church ‘constituency office’ showed that things are not as usual.
Before now, Sugar is known for doling out cash and gifts to people and attending social events with his ‘boys’ in his branded coaster bus, filled to capacity.
Reports have it that the lawmaker now spends ample time in Abuja than Ibadan.
