The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State has explained that it is not owing corps members of security officials for job that they are doing.
The commission dismissed insinuation that it is indebted to corps members or security personnel engaged in the election.
Head of Department, Voter Education & Publicity, INEC, Oyo state, Mr Ayodele Folami, stated this on Saturday.
He said the commission could not be said to be owing security personnel for a job that is ongoing.

Folami explained that presiding officers were empowered to pay security personnel, though he added those not paid will get their pay as soon as they return to the state INEC office with personnel and materials.
He said the commission had given feeding and training allowance to poll officials, adding that security personnel will get paid at the end of, and not in, the course of the election.
