Following the destruction of the opposition party’s greetings billboards across Ibadan, the state capital by thugs suspected to be members of the Park Managers system, the founder of Hassan Olawale Giwa (HOG) Foundation, Arc (Dr.) Hassan Giwa has described the action as uncivilized and satanic.
Arc Giwa, whose billboard was among those destroyed by the agents of devil, described the action as an invitation to anarchy and a very strong signal to the opposition parties and people of the state to what they should expect in the build up to the general elections in 2023 in Oyo State.
According to the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, “we are in the festival season, everybody is happy. We are not in the campaign period or election period, so, I did not see what warranted damaging other people’s billboards or attempting to truncate the peaceful atmosphere in the state.
“This action by destructive agents is capable of returning the state to an era of anarchy should those affected and the party decides to retaliate.
“I want to appeal to all members of All Progressives Congress in Oyo State to continue to to be law abiding and be rest assured that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.”
Arc Giwa called on the security agencies in the state to be at alert, and not to lose their slip as destructive signal by the suspected PMS boys was a threat to the build-up to the general elections in Oyo State.
Some of the billboards destroyed by the suspected PMS boys contained pictures of 2019 APC governorship aspirant, Joseph Tegbe, Barr Oyeleru Wakili and Awanat Fijabi, all of All Progressives Congress.
