The president of the Old Students’ Association of the School, Com. Taiwo Salawu expressed his joy, thanked Dr. Adedeji and called on others to give back to their Alma Mater.

He assured the school management that the association will continue to monitor the progress of the beneficiaries, while charging current students to face their studies.

Mr. Olusoji Adeoye, a member of 1987 set paid acceptance fees for all beneficiaries, totaling #150,000. In his words, “financial assistance to students by the Old Students’ Association is more than charity. It’s an investment in the future of individuals, the school and society at large. It empowers students, strengthens educational institutions, builds a legacy of collective progress, and fosters a culture of giving back”.

Dr. Adedeji, 1986 set of the United Secondary School, Idi-Obi, Agugu Ibadan, said the Annual Scholarship Program aims to bring out the best out of the students. He stressed that the gesture would give room for healthy academic competition among students.

Dr. Adedeji urged parents to complement teachers’ efforts by making sure that students read and devote reasonable time to attend to their homework. He admonished the current students to focus on working hard, reiterating that there’s no shortcut to real and enduring success.

Recall that Dr. Adedeji offered a one-year full scholarship to Mazeed Adeniyi in 2024 to attend LAUTECH and Abeebat Okesanya received a partial scholarship to attend the same university.

Mrs. Grace Iyabowale Adika, Principal of United Secondary School (Senior Secondary School), Idi-Obi, Agugu, Ibadan extolled Dr. Adedeji for his tireless efforts to brand the school, assist students and support the staff members of the school.
