Oyo state government will hold Computer Based Test (CBT) in August to screen applicants in the ongoing Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) recruitment exercise in the state.
The Chairman, Oyo State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Pastor Akin Alamu, made this known on Thursday during a radio programme on Fresh 105.9FM, Ibadan.
Pastor Alamu said about 90,000 applicants registered for the exercise, but only the commission can only absolve 9,000 successfully applicants.
According to him, 7000 will be for teaching staff, while the remaining 2,000 will go into non-teaching staff. He will the cut off marks for applicants will be determined after the exercise.
“Oyo State indigenes would be given consideration, but indigenes of other states will also be considered due to the cosmopolitan status of the state.”
He added that successful applicants would resume duty when the new school academic calendar starting in September.
