Yoruba Nation activist, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has paid a thank-you visit to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, in appreciation of the role the monarch played in his removal from Nigeria’s wanted list.
The appreciation visit came barely 24 hours after reports emerged that Igboho had been delisted from the list of wanted persons.
While receiving Igboho at his Bodija residence, the Olubadan was thanked for his intervention and fatherly support during Igboho’s period of detention outside the country.
Igboho recounted the monarch’s role during his ordeal, describing his actions as reassuring and supportive while he was in custody.
In his response, Oba Ladoja emphasized that dialogue and patience remain the most effective tools for resolving disputes.
He urged all parties to prioritize peace and refrain from actions capable of threatening harmony within Yorubaland and the country at large.
Counselling restraint and reflection, the monarch said, “Where there is life, there is hope. Every challenge comes with lessons, and wisdom lies in learning from them.”
