Few days after InsideOyo‘s story about his ‘uncommon silence’, the lawmaker representing Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency, Hon. Olatoye Temitope Sugar, today commissioned a block of 3 classrooms Arikuyeri Community Primary School, Iyana Offa, headquarters of Lagelu local government area of Oyo State.
Insideoyo.com had reported how the former state assembly member has been ‘inactive’ as regards community service, an action that is unusual of the lanky politician, who is believed to be nursing a governorship ambition.
Fully equipped with modern educational facilities such as furniture, electricity and water, the lawmaker said the school has been neglected for long.
According to Sugar, “the school was established in 1955 but only the administration of late Chief Bola Ige improved the facility in 1980. The school has been neglected by subsequent administration across board hence the need for this intervention and infrastructural face-lift of the school.
