The lawmaker representing Lagelu/Akinyele, Hon. Temitope Olatoye Sugar, is to begin a statewide empowerment aimed at alleviating the suffering of the masses.
Billed to take place in Ibadan, Oyo, Ibarapa, Ogbomoso and Okeogun, it is organised in conjunction with his foundation- Olatoye Sugar Foundation, OSF.
The programme, according to the foundation’s secretary, Comrade Julius Olaoye, will commence on Thursday 24th August, 2017 at 10am at APC Party office, Ejioku in Lagelu Local Government, with what he tagged ’Ileya Festivity Empowerment’ programme with OSF Free Health-Care Mission.
On the same day, the people of Akinyele local government will have their own share of the dividends of democracy at 1.30pm at the OSF office at Chief Akiije House, opposite Akinyele local government, Moniya, Ibadan.
Various goods like cars, freezers , sewing machines, grinding machines, Ileya rams and rice will be given to people within the two local government areas.
The train is expected to “route Oke-Ogun, Oyo, Ogbomosho and Ibarapa zones respectively,” the statement said.
Describing Sugar, who was a member of the 7th Assembly of the Oyo State House of Assembly, as “a very passionate federal honorable that Oyo State ever produced,” state secretary of the foundation said that “despite the fact that Hon. Sugar represents the good people of Lagelu/Akinyele federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Abuja, he has deliberately decided to spread his tentacles to other local governments in the state.”
He said further: “All the party leaders, executives and party members are expected to be present as the too will benefit from the geture, especially towards forth coming Ileya festival.
“Moreover, the people of Oke-Ogun and its environs will also be beneficiaries of Hon.Sugar’s benevolence on the 25th August, 2017 as OSF embarks on free health mission including free medical test, cataract operations, reading glasses, gull operations and medical check-up of different illnesses free of charge. It will take place at OSF office in Sabo, Saki West local government area of Oyo State.
“In the same vein, on Saturday 26th August, 2017, empowerment goods including cars, freezers, generators, grinding machine, food items like rice among others, will be given to all OSF members in Oke-Ogun by10am.
“Moreover, the train shall move to OSF office in Iseyin Local Government at Adeyanju house, opposite Ebedi Primary School. The Free medical treatment will commence by 10 am, while the commissioning of the new OSF office will come up by 3pm. Thereafter many valuable empowerment materials like freezer, sewing machines, generators, sprayers and chemicals to control weeds. will be given to people from different walks of life.
“Finally, on the 29th of August, 2017, OSF will move to Oyo zone where the people of the four local government areas of AFIJIO, Atiba, Oyo West and Oyo East will be empowered. It will take place at OSF office, opposite Baptist Primary School in Oyo East local government area by 10am. It will be followed by a free medical treatment. The new OSF Medical Centre will later be commissioned on same day by His Imperial Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III, Iku baba yeye, Alaafin of Oyo,” he revealed.
