The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) INEC Oyo State, Barr. Mutiu Agboke has again tasked the electorates especially members of the National Forum of Heads of Federal Establishments (NFOHEADs) to actively participate in the forthcoming general elections.
The Hon REC who was the Guest Speaker gave this charge today (29th November) during a Public Service Week Lecture he delivered tagged “Vote & Guard Your Vote – How feasible in Present Day Nigeria?” organised by NAFOHEADS, Oyo State Chapter @ N.T.A Ibadan Network Centre Premises.
He noted further that, the beauty of democracy was to allow for more participation of all electorate, thereby given more credibility to the electoral process in the Country.
Barr. Agboke reassured the commitment of the Electoral Body in ensuring that the electorate’s votes count in 2019 general elections
He adding that,such feat could only be achieved through the collective efforts of all stakeholders in the electioneering process including, Voters, Political Parties Agents, Election Observers and the Media.
The Public Service Week Lecture which was attended by INEC Team and other Public Servants/ Para – Military Personnel ended with Award ceremonies given to the Hon REC Barr Mutiu Agboke and other past serving members of the Association.
