The zonal caretaker committee of People’s Democratic Party in Southwest has faulted the suspension of the suspended Local government chairman of Ibadan North East Local government, Mr. Taiwo Iyiola.
In a letter issued on Tuesday by the Zonal Secretary, Hon Daisi Akintan, the party said it has set aside the decision of Oyo state working committee on the ground of Iyiola that claim that he was not given fair hearing which is said to have contravened section 57 sub-section 6 of the party constitution.
Last week, the Oyo state PDP working committee suspended the local government chairman, alleging him of anti party activities.
Mr Iyiola, a loyalist of the embattled Alhaji Adebisi Olopoeyan was replaced by the Vice Chairman, Mr. Isiaka Fatokun to immediately take over the leadership of the party in Ibadan North East pending the investigations
But the zonal Working Committee of the party, ordered reinstatement of Mr. Taiwo Iyiola as the chairman of the party for Ibadan North Local government area of Oyo state.
