Senator Adesoji Akanbi and Senator Monsurat Sunmonu will receive a severance allowance of N6,079,200 annual for not returning to the National Assembly.
The severance allowance is a package for former legislatures and the two Oyo senators lost their bids to return to chamber after the President and National Assembly elections.

The entitlement is contained in a document titled “Remuneration Package for Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders 2008.”
In a similar report by The PUNCH, Senate President Bukola Saraki is entitled to a severance allowance of N7,452,727.50 while a non-returning member of the House of Representatives is entitled to N5,955,637.5.
