BARKA DE SALLAH TO ALL MUSLIMS!
“Today, nearly 1.6 billion Muslims around the world will start celebrating Eid al-Adha (the Feast of Sacrifice) and it’s the celebration of one central figure in Islam, Judaism, and Christianity: the prophet Ibraheem (Abraham).
“The festival commemorates Allah’s gift of a ram in place of Isma’il, whom God had commanded prophet Ibraheem (A.S.W) to sacrifice. The Shaittan tried to persuade prophet Ibraheem to disobey Allah and not to sacrifice his beloved son, but he (Ibraheem) stayed absolutely obedient to Allah and drove the Shaittan away. Eid al-Adha is a celebration of this supreme example of submission to God, which is the cornerstone of the Islamic faith.
“ALHAMDULILLAH, Allah Subhanahu Wata’ala has preserved us yet again to see another Eid-l-Adha. This is another holy period to repent for past sins and look to the future. Since charity is one of the five pillars of Islam, Muslims must also share their food and money with those who are less privileged as an act of celebration.
“Meanwhile, I want to use the opportunity of this auspicious holy occasion to preach to all Nigerians to peacefully co-exist with highest regards for individuals’ religion’s belief, ethnic and political affiliations. While I caution every Nigerian to eschew hate speeches as it portends dangers for the unity of this country, we must not relent in our prayers and supports for our leaders and the government at all levels.
“To the great people of Oyo State, we must understand at all times that leaders are visionaries, most of the time they see beyond today, greater part of their job is to plan for our tomorrow. God has bless us with a brilliant and visionary leader for the past six years, transformationally developing the state for tomorrow. I urge us to continue to pray and support this selfless leader, Governor Abiola Ajimobi as he continues to do more for our dear State, he is our pride.
“On behalf of humble myself and my entire family, I say Barka de Sallah to all Muslims in Itesiwaju Local Government Area, Oyo State and beyond. On this day, as Allah exchanged Isma’il with a ram for Prophet Ibraheem, He will exchange our prayers with good results and our worries with peace of mind. Ameen!
“In the same vein, I felicitate with Aare of Ibadan land, my Father, the Governor of Modern Oyo State, His Excellency Sen. Isiaqh Abiola Ajimobi as he celebrate 6th Eid-L-Kabir in government. May Almighty Allah accept your good deeds Sir.”
