In a powerful demonstration of compassion and commitment to child welfare, RuffyEdwards Empowerment Initiative, through its flagship program Project Nourish Food Bank, carried out a meaningful outreach at St. James’s Primary School, Okebola, Ibadan, providing much-needed food support to pupils and their families.
The outreach, held earlier on wednesday, saw hundreds of pupils receive essential food items including rice, garri, spaghetti, semolina, vegetable oil, and other staple supplies to take home.
The initiative is part of an ongoing effort to tackle a silent but pressing crisis — hunger among school children.
For many of these pupils, access to regular, nutritious meals remains uncertain. This reality not only affects their health but also their ability to concentrate, learn, and thrive in school. Recognizing this challenge, RuffyEdwards Empowerment Initiative is taking bold steps to ensure that no child is left behind due to hunger.

Speaking on the outreach, Princess Adedolapo Oni, Founder of RuffyEdwards Empowerment Initiative, emphasized that the mission goes beyond food distribution.
“This is about restoring dignity, giving hope, and creating an environment where children can truly focus on their education without the distraction of hunger.”
At the heart of this effort is Project Nourish Food Bank, a growing movement dedicated to eradicating hunger in classrooms across communities. The project seeks to bridge the gap between education and basic nutrition, ensuring that every child has a fair chance to succeed academically.
Princess Adedolapo Oni also expressed deep appreciation to the sponsors, partners, and supporters whose generosity continues to drive the impact of the initiative. Their contributions have made it possible to reach vulnerable children and families who need support the most.
Today’s outreach at St. James’s Primary School is one of many planned interventions aimed at expanding the reach of Project Nourish. With continued support, the initiative hopes to extend its impact to more schools, more communities, and ultimately, more children.
As the smiles of the pupils reflected gratitude and renewed hope, one message stood clear: when communities come together, hunger can be defeated — one child, one classroom at a time.
