Lawmaker representing Ibarapa East/Ido Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on the Federal Roads Maintenance Agency (FERMA), Hon. Aderemi Oseni, has intensified mobilisation across Oyo State in support of the re-election of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, declaring that the administration’s reforms are already yielding measurable results.
Oseni stated this at the constituency general meeting of the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF) held at Ido, Ibadan, where leaders, coordinators and supporters reviewed the group’s activities and outlined strategies ahead of the next general election.
The Sunday’s meeting drew over 15,000 members from Ido and Ibarapa East local government areas.
The lawmaker said the Renewed Hope Agenda of the Bola Tinubu administration had begun to stabilise the economy, noting that tough decisions taken at the outset were necessary to reposition the country for long-term prosperity.
According to him, reforms such as the removal of fuel subsidy, unification of exchange rates, increased federal allocations to states and local governments, the student loan initiative and agricultural interventions were laying a solid foundation for sustainable recovery.
“Reform is never easy. It demands courage and patience. But what we are witnessing today are the early gains of bold decisions taken in the national interest,” Oseni said.
The APC chieftain added that Nigeria’s reform drive had attracted global recognition and boosted investor confidence. He quoted the Managing Director of Operations at the World Bank, Amma Bjerde, as acknowledging Nigeria as a global reference point for credible and steady reforms under President Tinubu, saying such endorsement would open doors for financing capable of creating jobs and expanding the economy.
Describing ROCOF as a structured grassroots platform within the All Progressives Congress (APC), Oseni said the movement has operational presence in all 33 local government areas and 177 wards of Oyo State, with a membership strength exceeding 300,000.
He reiterated the group’s commitment to delivering one million votes for President Tinubu across the state in 2027.
“Even before the official unveiling of Renewed Hope Ambassadors nationwide, ROCOF had positioned itself as ambassadors in action. We make no apology for our support. President Tinubu is a reformer, a strategist and a courageous leader whose policies are already producing results,” he said.
Oseni urged members to intensify mobilisation, voter education and active participation in party programmes, stressing that grassroots engagement would determine the outcome of the election.
He further declared that ROCOF’s second priority is to return the APC to Government House, Agodi, in 2027, arguing that alignment with the Federal Government would accelerate development in the state.
“Oyo cannot remain disconnected from the centre. Alignment in 2027 will unlock projects, jobs and opportunities for our people,” he said.
The lawmaker also disbursed N100 million to empower residents across the constituency. Beneficiaries of the initiative include youths, market women and artisans, among others.
Earlier in their separate remarks, the Oyo South Senatorial Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Mojeed Olaoya, and the party’s Youth Leader, Prince John Aremu, described Oseni as a valuable asset to the party, noting that the large turnout at the meeting reflected his growing popularity and contributions to strengthening the APC in the state.
