The situation, he said, had held back the youth in the low economic class where livelihood is very poor.

His words: ““Youths in Ogo-Oluwa/Surulere federal Constituency are very hardworking and industrious people, but several economic opportunities have eluded so many of them because they do not possess certain very important skills that will qualify them for some key employment opportunities or better still, skills required to establish and run their own businesses effectively”

Hon. Odebunmi noted that ICT skill is a very important skill that an average youth in the  21st century must possess to compete with his/her counterparts.

He added that: “ICT space continues to be widening on daily basis thereby providing more avenue for economic empowerment.

“ICT has proven to provide opportunities for economic self-reliance, wealth creation, job creation, sustainable national economic growth and development, and overall improvement in the social-economic status of the citizens of any nation.”

Similarly, Hon Odebunmi also empowered his constituents with 50 motorcycles .

The lawmaker explained that the disbursement was in fulfillment of his campaign promises of empowering youth and women in the Constituency to become self-reliant while urging the beneficiaries to make good use of the items by engaging in economic activities that will generate revenue for them and their communities, promising that more of such disbursements will follow.

Tijani Saheed and Oyeniran Sunday who are among beneficiaries spoke with the journalists lauded the Lawmaker for the gesture and prayed to God to continue to be with him.
