Technical Director of Remo Stars FC, Dan Ogunmodede, declared that his team was lucky not to have been beaten by Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan on Wednesday morning.
Remo Stars rallied back through Agbeko Morgan”s late effort, to ensure both sides shared the spoils in the NNL Super 8 play off Southern Conference match played at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
Speaking during a post match interview,, tafter the energy sapping encounter, the soft spoken tactician, admitted that his side played against a descent and tough opposition.
“I’m impressed with the performance of my team because we played against the best team in the league
“By virtue of the fact that they had the highest points in the league, they are the best team, they are a mature team”, said Ogunmodede.
The Remo Stars’ sweat merchant, however said his boys were not at their best due to the fact that the fixtures did not give time for players to rest., stressing that the ideal thing was for players to have at least 24 hours rest after a game before playing another.
