A gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, Engineer Seyi Makinde held this year’s annual Ramadan lecture yesterday 23rd of May, 2018 at the premises of the Nigerian Television Authority in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
This year’s edition which is the 5th had Sheikh Dr. Sulaiman Faruq Onikijipa as the guest lecturer with the topic “Why Are We On Earth?”.
While speaking, the guest lecturer admonished Muslim faithfuls to always remember the purpose of creation and always strive towards entering Al Jannah. He also mentioned that Muslim faithfuls should make judicious use of this noble month of Ramadan to move close to Allah and seek forgiveness.
Dignitaries at the lecture were the Olubadan of Ibadan land, His Imperial Majesty Oba Soliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso I; the host, Engineer Seyi Makinde; Senator Adewolu Ladoja, the Osi Olubadan of Ibadan land and array of others.
