As part of his responsibilities and fulfilment to the campaign promises, Hon. Mustapha Akeem Olawale, member representing Kajola State Constituency at the Oyo State House of Assembly on Tuesday, presented well-equiped first aid boxes to all public secondary schools and 6 football clubs in Kajola local government area of the state.
Akeem Mustafa who is also the chairman House Committee on Energy also empowered widows with small scale loans to boost their businesses.
While speaking at the event to mark his 100 Days in office, the lawmaker said he did this to support the trend of the state governor, Engr. Oluseyi Makinde in paddling the Oyo state canoe to the canaan land. He said that for the period of four years which he has been elected to serve, he will not relent in resuscitating programmes to drive out poverty turmoils and will not disappoint the good people of Kajola local government.
He urged people of Kajola state constituency to continue their supports and prayers for him as these are the accelerators moving him forward in government.
He said “I want to believe strongly that the steps taken so far by the People’s Governor and with the support from members of the 9th Oyo State House of Assembly will definitely lead Oyo State to the promising land and prosperity for all.
“I, therefore appeal to all Kajola indegenes both at home and in diaspora, to support this government in whatever capacities to move the state forward and achieve the greatness in the acronyms and philosophy of Pace Setting State.”
While speaking, the chairman of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in Kajola local government, Hon. Johnson Ojebiyi, thanked party members for their trust in the government they elected. He admonished them not to dance to the tone of some drummers at the roadside of politics but rather be focused on the PDP as many opportunities are coming soon from the government.
Present at the event were Commissioner of Women Affairs, Alh. Fausat Sanni who was represented by Dr. (Mrs.) Fashona E.F, Hon. Dele Adeola, member representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State, Hon. Shina Oyedeji, a full time Commissioner in Local Government service commission and Hon. Amusat Ogunsola, a former lawmaker.
