The G5 Governors including Nyesom Wike (Rivers State), Okezie Ikpeazu (Abia State), Samuel Ortom (Benue), Seyi Makinde (Oyo) and Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi (Enugu) exchanged warm pleasantries with Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar, Wife of the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
The Governors were on their way to the PDP State rally in Enugu, on Thursday afternoon, when they met with Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar at the private wing of the airport.
In what eventually appeared to be a brief ‘family meeting’, Governor Wike of Rivers State and few other members of the G-5 group, were seen embracing the wife of the presidential candidate of the party, Mrs Titi Atiku Abubakar
The song of hallelujah by the PDP supporters and leaders, who were astonished at the development, rented the air as they watched the scenario which played out at the airport.
Recall that the G5 Governors, who are all members of the People Democratic Party (PDP), had vowed not to support the candidate of their party, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, unless the National Chairman, Iyorchia Ayu, resigns from his position to create a room for a southerner.
