The senatorial candidate of the Accord for Oyo South, Idris Kolapo Kola-Daisi, was one of the proud sons and daughters of Ibadan notably present at the 80th birthday celebration of Kabiesi, the Olubadan of Ibadaland, Oba Dr. Senator Mohood Olalekan Ishola Balogun, Ali-Iwo (Alli Okunmade II), held at the Alliwo palace.
Kola-Daisi, who was one of the early callers to the event, in his congratulatory message had eulogized Olubadan’s unwavering commitment to the development of Ibadan and its people, citing and expressing gratitude for how generous the royal father has been welcoming and generous to him.
While the Chief Imam of Ibadanland, Baba Agbotomokekere, offered prayers for the Olubadan, he summoned both Kola Balogun, the incumbent senator representing Oyo South, and then Kola-Daisi, to offer prayers for the latter’s success, especially at the upcoming polls.
