The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, for Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Iwajowa/Kajola Federal Constituency Najeemdeen Oyeshina Oyedeji has been declared winner of the federal constituency election.
The 2023 national assembly elections were conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday.
Oyedeji who is fondly called ‘O’Shine’ scored total votes of 30,372 while candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Dr.(Engr) Soliu Abu Gbadamosi scored 28,821 votes.
Accord Party candidate, Samson Ogunbode has 17,532 votes, Labour Party Candidate, Ogunlade Adeyemi has 1,160 votes.
The Returning Officer of the election, Professor Adeolu Adeleke, said Mr Oyedeji having scored the required is certified winners and declared returned.
