The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Iwajowa Local Government Area has reaffirmed its grassroots dominance with a massive turnout at its general meeting held on Tuesday at the Iganna Palace Square.
The event, described by party leaders as a resounding success, drew members and stakeholders from across the local government, reflecting the PDP’s enduring influence and unity under Governor Seyi Makinde’s leadership.
Addressing the gathering, the Honorable Representative of Iwajowa State Constituency, Hon. Anthony Ogunsola, commended members for their loyalty and dedication to the party’s cause.
He called on them to remain steadfast and united, stressing that solidarity is the foundation of the PDP’s continued victories across Oyo State.
Also speaking, the Chairman of Iwajowa Local Government, Hon. Oyewumi Muritala, expressed appreciation to party members for their patience and cooperation.
He urged members to continue prioritizing collective interest above personal ambitions, adding that internal cohesion remains vital to achieving the party’s mission.
In his remarks, the PDP leader in Iwajowa, Hon. Barrister John Adeniyi Farinto, lauded the impressive turnout, describing it as a reflection of the people’s trust in the PDP.
He assured members that the party is committed to rescuing Nigeria from hunger and poverty, emphasizing that the PDP will not only retain Oyo State in 2027 but also reclaim power at the national level.
Other key figures in attendance included Hon. Tajudeen Olorin, Hon. Wasiu Fasola (former Party Chairman), Alhaja Idiat Folashade (Oyo North Senatorial Woman Leader), Hon.
