The management committee members of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora under the leadership of the Acting Rector, Mr. Olaniyi Adekunle have showered encomium on the outgoing Registrar of the institution, Mr. Niyi Fehintola for his dedication to duty and for the way he coordinated the registry department of the institution.
Speaking at a special management committee valedictory meeting in honour of the Registrar, the Acting Rector thanked Mr. Fehintola for his support towards the successful tenure of Professor Gbemiga Adewale and the present administration in the College.
According to him, ” we rejoice with the registrar on the successful completion of his tenure and appreciate God for his life. He has been an asset to the institution and he would be greatly missed.”
In his contribution, the Bursar, Alhaji Sarafa Agbogun described the registrar as a versatile person with good understanding of regulations and laws guiding tertiary education. Alhaji Agbogun revealed that he was always seeking the registrar’s advice considering his wealth of experience.
Other speakers at the valedictory session include; the Acting Librarian, Mr. Rasak Oyewo, the Director of works and Services, Engr. Akintunde Akinyemi, Acting Director of Audit, Mr. Kolawole Atanda.
They described him as a technocrat, good adviser who worked for the success of the College.
In the words of the Secretary to the management, Mr. Olajire Gbadamosi, ” I thank God for the opportunity to work with the registrar.”
Mr. Gbadamosi described him as an administrator per excellence, true leader, who does not condemn but take responsibility for his subordinates action.
They all prayed God to grant him good health, strength and prosperity in his future endeavours.
In his response, the outgoing Registrar, Mr. Niyi Fehintola expressed gratitude to God for the opportunity given to him to serve at the institution. He expressed appreciation to the past and present administrations in the State for the opportunity to complete his tenure.
“I appreciate the past Governing Councils under the leadership of Mrs. Aderonke Makanjuola and Prof. Lateef Sanni as well as the Management, the Unions, the Students Union Government, Alumni Association, Staff and Students and the immediate past Rector, Professor Gbemiga Adewale for their support.”
“I want to appeal to everyone that OYSCATECH is a project that must not be allowed fail, therefore, let us work together as one big family in order to make the institution great.”
