The Oyo state election petition tribunal sitting in Ibadan has received fifteen petitions for the State House of Assembly elections in the state, insideoyo.com has gathered.
Investigation by NAN on Tuesday at the secretariat of the Election Petition Tribunal also revealed that four petitions were received for the Senate, 12 for the House of Representatives and 15 for the state House of Assembly.
Recall that insideoyo.com had earlier reported that the the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 26 state constituencies, All Progressives Congress (APC) won 5 state constituencies while the African Democratic Party (ADP) won 1 state constituency.
In a similar development, the governorship candidate of the APC, Chief Bayo Adelabu has approached the Governorship electoral tribunal to challenge the victory of the PDP, Eng Seyi Makinde.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Makinde winner of the governorship election after polling 515,621 votes to defeat Adelabu who had 357,982.
Other respondents in the case are the PDP and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
