Speaker, Oyo State House of Assembly, Honourable Olagunju Ojo has urged Muslims to uphold the lessons of Ramadan which includes virtues of piety, sacrifice, love, self-denial and good conduct in their daily relationship with one another.
He enjoined Nigerians not to abandon the messages of the Ramadan period by extending a hand of friendship and solidarity across all divides and imbibing the spirit of sacrifice as well as obedience to the higher authorities.
While congratulating Muslims in Oyo state for the successful completion of the spiritual journey of fasting, prayer and almsgiving, he prayed that Allah rewards their sacrifices with blessings.
He further called on Muslims to pray for Oyo state, especially, those in leadership positions, that God grants them the needed wisdom to efficiently steer the affairs of the state and the country, at large.
