At the empowerment programme which took place at Community Grammar School, Alegongo, Akobo-Ojurin area, Ibadan, beneficiaries received 10 brand new tricycles popularly called Keke Marwa, sewing machines and grinding machines, while fertilisers, spraying machines, herbicides, pesticides and knapsack sprayers were also distributed for farmers in conjunction with National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization for rural farmers in selected communities in Akinyele/Lagelu federal constituency.

Among the beneficiaries were Mr. Opeyemi Gbolagade, Joshua Oyebamiji, Fatai Awoyoola, Afeez Olusara and others. They all appreciated the lawmaker for his gesture and pointed out that since 1999, no member who represented the said federal constituency in the past has done what Olafisoye has done or is doing now.

While handing over the materials to the beneficiaries, the elated lawmaker, Hon. Olafisoye Akinmoyede who is the Chairman House Committee on Nigeria/Mexico Parliamentary Friendship, said his perspective has always been to support the people to be self-reliant, hence, he has designed various programmes to cater for different categories of people with a commitment to support them regularly.
