The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Oyo State, has reiterated its commitment to transparent electoral process in the Country.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in the State, Barr. Mutiu Agboke stated this today at the end of a Novelty Football Match between INEC & Nigerian Bar Association (NBA)’s teams which was played at Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan.
Hon. REC noted further that, the Match which ended 1-0 in favour of NBA team (Abeokuta Branch) would afford the Commission the opportunity to further appreciate voters in the State, assuring the general public of the Commission’s resolve to continually provide a level playing ground using the power of PVC in our electoral process.
One of the team members and the Secretary of NBA football team, Barr. Kunle Sodeinde commended the Commission for organising such a friendly Match, adding that it has afforded his team to adequately relax and socialise at this vacation period of the Association.
The Championship Cup was presented to the wining team (NBA) by the State Director NOA, Mrs Dolapo Dosunmu, while the Runner’s Cup was also presented to INEC team by IPAC State Chairman , Alhaji Waheed Oyebanji.
Present at the occasion included other members of ICCES, IPAC, the Media and other members of INEC staff.
