The Oyo State Commissioner of Police, Abiodun Odude, on Tuesday said the police were making effort to arrest all those involved in the killing of a fun seeker, Kehinde Adeleke, at the Trans Amusement Park, Ibadan.
The victim was allegedly shot by the owner of Pete’s Bar and Lounge, Seyi Olusa, aka Fatherlusky, after an argument over a car park slot.
It was also alleged that the bar owner killed Adeleke with a gun he took from a soldier attached to the Oyo State security outfit, Operation Burst.
Efforts to get the response of Operation Burst on the allegation were not successful, as the Officer-in-Charge of Operations at the security outfit, Captain Alkali Alkaleri, did not respond to a call to his mobile telephone and the text message sent to him.
However, the state police commissioner, Odude, said the command was working hard to bring all those involved in Adeleke’s killing to book.
He said, “We are investigating the killing at the bar. We will soon get to the root of the crime. We have the bar owner in our custody and we are working hard to arrest all those linked to the crime,”
Odude did not say if any of the soldiers would be apprehended.
