Shina Olukolu, the Oyo State Commissioner of Police, has assured citizens of the state of peace and security during handing over ceremony on May 29.

According to reports, Olukolu disclosed this in Ibadan on Tuesday during a visit to the Correspondents’ Chapel Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Oyo State.
Olukolu, who said he came on a thank you visit to the chapel also sought for more collaboration with journalists in disseminating right information to members of the public.
“The preparation for May 29 is in top gear; the operational order is there, the men for the parade are rehearsing and training, the materials to be used are there. The officers and men are being sensitised as to what to do.
“We are in touch with our AIG in Osogbo, if there is need for assistance we will get it,” he said.
Ola Ajayi, Chairman Correspondents’ Chapel, appreciated the visit by the state police boss and assured him that the press will do its best in information dissemination to the public without misleading them.
