A prominent People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader in Oluyole Federal Constituency in Oyo state, Hon. Ogunsola Olusina, has lost his father, Mr Ogunsola Isaiah, at the age of 85.
In a statement made available to newsmen in Ibadan, on Saturday evening, Hon. Olusina expressed grief over the passing of his father, saying that old age took his life on Friday evening as he went to coma and never returned.
While describing his father as a great mentor and leader, He added that he was a patriotic Nigerian and shining example of honesty, hard work, humility and love, who committed his active years to the good of humanity.
The statement read in part:
“Today, my family and I regret to announce the loss of a giant, a great leader, my hero, my mentor, the lion of the Olusina family, our dear father.
“During his lifetime, my father was everything to us. He set an example on how to lead in the family and the community that is difficult to surpass.
“As of now, our hearts are heavy and it is difficult to find the words to express our pain at my father’s passing. This is a significant blow to our family,” Hon. Olusina wrote in the statement.
