The New Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, Oyo State, Command, Mr Augustine Padonu has assumed office.
Mr Padonu assumed office on Wednesday, after a brief handing over ceremony held at the command’s headquarters Agodi Ibadan which included a tour of all Departments, Units, and other facilities within the Command Headquarters.
The new Commandant is a native of Badagry in Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State.
Mr Padonu was enlisted into the corps in 2005 and holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) in Marketing from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Imo State, in 2004, as well as, a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Accounting from the University of Jos in 1996.
Commandant Padonu has served in various capacities within the NSCDC, including Head of Department (HOD) for Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI) in Lagos State Command, and HOD for Intelligence and Investigation in Osun State Command.
He has also held several positions as Area Commander and Divisional Officer in various formations across the country including the FCT Command, Lagos State Command and Kaduna State Command.
Commandant Padonu is known for his strong leadership skills, strategic planning abilities and commitment to excellence.
Meanwhile, The former commandant, Dr Michael Adaralewa has been redeployed to the Osun State Command of NSCDC.
