Oyo State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday charged Mr Francis Abayomi, a 58-years-old for allegedly defiling a 7-year-old girl on November 25,2020 at Kutamiti Street off Bashorun Expressway Ibadan.
The Magistrate in Charge of Family Court 1 Iyaganku Ibadan SH Adebisi ordered that the suspect should be remanded in NSCDC Custody at the State Headquarters Agodi Ibadan and adjourned the Case till 25 January 2021.
The suspect allegedly defiled the victim without her consent and thereby committed an offence contrary to section 34(1) and punishable under section 34 (2) of the Oyo State Child Right Law 2006.
Meanwhile, Oyo State Command Anti Human trafficking Unit attended to 343 cases in 2020 ranges from Child trafficking, child abuse, child labour and street children, rape and defilement child in need of care and protection, physical assault and domestic violence..
