The Muslim Community of Oyo State has extended its warm congratulations to Prof. Musibau Babatunde on his appointment as the Secretary to the Oyo State Government (SSG) by Governor Oluseyi Abiodun Makinde.
In a press statement released on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, the community hailed the appointment, describing it as a well-deserved recognition of Prof. Babatunde’s exceptional qualities and expertise.
The statement, signed by Alhaji Ishaq Kunle Sanni, Chairman, and Alhaji Murisiku Abidemi Siyanbade, Secretary-General, noted that Prof. Babatunde, a renowned expert in Energy Economics, International Economics, and Macro-Economics, had proven his mettle as the Hon. Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning.
“A complete gentleman, he proved his mettle as Hon. Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning,” the statement read.
The Muslim Community of Oyo State expressed its confidence in Prof. Babatunde’s ability to excel in his new role, stating that he is a “round peg in a round hole”.
The community also commended Governor Makinde for his observant leadership and for recognizing Prof. Babatunde’s qualities, which led to his elevation to the position of SSG.
The statement concluded by wishing Prof. Babatunde success in his new endeavour and praying for him to be blessed with more grace.
