As muslims continues with the fasting in the month of Ramadan, the immediate past caretaker Chairman, Oke’ Badan Local Council Development Area, Alhaji Ganiy Abiodun Omotoso has urged residents of the LCDA and Ibadan North west local government as a whole to use the Holy month of Ramadan to pray for success of Governor Seyi Makinde in his efforts at bringing about a rapid socio-economic development to Oyo State and making life bearable for the people.
Alhaji Omotoso in a statement made available to journalists in Ibadan described the month of Ramadan as a special spiritual season to move close to Almighty Allah and forsake sins and renew commitment to Allah service and that of humanity.
He advised the people of the area to make good use of the month by seeking for Allah’s blessing on the LCDA and it’s people and Oyo State as a whole.
The Vice Chairmanship candidate for Ibadan North west local government in the forthcoming local government election in the state congratulates the state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on his annual Ramadan lecture series coming up on Wednesday at Government house Arcade.
He described Governor Makinde as a detribalised Nigeria who gives priority to the two major religion mostly practised in the state.
Alhaji Omotosho whose performances in the LCDA in the last one year are unquantifiable urged religious leaders in the state to support government through preaching message of peace and harmony in the state.
Alhaji Ganiy Omotoso therefore appealed to all residents especially Islamic faithfuls across the LCDA to come out in their large numbers to attend the Omi Tuntun Ramadan lecture.
The incoming council boss stated that all have every reason to be grateful to the Almighty Allah for being alive today and admonished all the Muslims most especially the clerics to continually supplicate and seek forgiveness of sins as the month dictated.
Alhaji Omotoso while praying the Almighty Allah in His infinite mercy keep everyone strong, vibrant and healthy to fulfil all obligations associated with Ramadan, reminded the residents of his council area and the state to continue to adhere strictly to all the COVID 19 protocols even as they observe their fasting.
