Oyo state governor, Engr Seyi Makinde on Thursday met with the caretaker chairpersons of Local Government Areas and Sole Administrators of Local Council Development Areas amid crisis.
The governor urged them to remain focus on the task at hands and decide on projects for each local areas.
A tweet on Governor’s verified twitter account reads: “This afternoon, we met with Local Government and Local Community Development Areas Caretaker Chairpersons.
“I urged them to remain focused on the task at hand; to decide on projects for each of our LGAs and LCDAs and execute them for the benefit of our people.”
Makinde’s meeting with the chairpersons is coming a day after he visited the Police IG at the Force Headquarters in Abuja.
In the wake of Local government crisis, the embattled Chairmen on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are clamoring for end of tenure. They stormed their different local government areas on Tuesday.
