Hon Peter Gbadegesin Ojedokun representing Ibarapa North/Central State Constituency in the Oyo State House of Assembly has distributed empowerment items to not less than two thousand members of his constituency.
The empowerment program held at Baptist Primary School field Igangan was attended by People’s Democratic Party , PDP Stalwarts in the Constituency.
Items distributed by Hon P.G Ojedokun included Grinding Machines, Sewing Machines, Knap Sack Sprayers, Fans and Cylinders.
The event equally featured presentation of cash donation to two hundred constituents while another set of people who were victims of various fulani and herdsmens attacks in Iganganland received both cash and relief packages from the lawmaker at the ceremony.
” I want to specially appreciate our people in Ibarapa North/Central State Constituency for their support all the time. This program is meant to consolidate on my various activities and empowerment programs for my people. We have continued to connect with them. The beneficiaries of the empowerment program today cut across all the twenty wards in my constituency. We bought those items based on the needs and requests of my people. This is our own dividend of democracy. ” Hon P.G Ojedokun said
To address the problem of scarcity of water, the lawmaker sunk five boreholes across the constituency while about one hundred indigenous students of Oyo State College of Agriculture and Technology, Igboora were trained on snacks, liquid and adire(Kampala) making.
” Because our people are mostly farmers, i established a cassava processing center where not less than two hundred people both women and youth are daily earning their living. Our farmers have been provided with tractor to plough their farmlands and some were given cash to cultivate their lands. School fees of students in different higher institutions were paid by me while the hospital bills of many of our sick constituents have been paid. Hon P.G Ojedokun stated.
Some of political functionaries who attended the empowerment program like the Chairman, Water Corporation of Oyo State , Dr. Adebayo Adepoju commended Hon Peter Gbadegesin Ojedokun for giving back to the people of his constituency.
PDP stalwarts in the two local governments called for unity and cooperation amongst party faithful as the 2023 General Election draws nearer .
They urged PDP supporters to close ranks and work for the overall success of the party come 2023.
