The lawmaker representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju State constituency in the Oyo state House of Assembly, Hon (Surv) Bamidele Adeola has given an account of stewardship of his activities in one year in office.
Adeola, who is also the Chairman, House Committee on Lands, Housing, Survey, and Physical Planning, in a press conference in Iseyin on Saturday, assured his constituents of adequate representation and more dividends of democracy.
While speaking, he said the roles of a lawmaker can be divided into three namely bills and motions, oversight function, and supportive program.
For supportive programs, Adeola has carried out Grading of Ado-Awaye Agelu Road, free health programme which includes surgery, eyeglasses, drugs, and medical check-up in all the towns in the constituency with over 2000 beneficiaries.
Scholarships were also given to disabled, Rehabilitation of the bus-stop edifice at Iseyin, Iseyin, Construction of modern Aso-Ofi Weaving Centre, Oke-Ola, Ward 6, Iseyin, Construction of borehole at Abaletu Sawmill Area, Donation of computers and other equipment to Iseyinboth General Hospital and Fire Station, a Football competition for the youths of the constituency to strengthen unity and harmony, Donation of roofing sheets to Adebo market inferno victims, Essay competition for Youths on the effect of Covid-19 and others.
For his oversight function, the Estate Surveyor and lawmaker listed oversight to Local Government to ensure pro masses related projects and transparency in related projects and transparent financial dealings, Water Corporation oversight towards the resuscitation of Ajumoda and Atori dams, Oyo State Agric Dev. Programme, Ministry of Lands Oversight towards the development of housing estate in Okaka and Iseyin, Internal Revenue oversight towards the increase, Motion for the reconstruction of IGR and others
Hon Dele Adeola’s constituency office in IseyinFor bill and motions, the lawmaker listed some of his motions as Motion on the need to complete State Constituency abandoned township Stadium Project, Motion on the urgent need for community and health care reformation in Oyo State.

Violence Against Persons (Prohibition) Bill, 2019, Oyo State Security Network Agency Bill (Amotekun), 2020, Establishment, Composition and Powers of the Oyo Agribusiness Development Bill and Fire Services (further amendment) Bill are bills he has sponsored and co-sponsored with other lawmakers.
While commissioning the Modern Aso Ofi weaving center, Adeola also promised to assists the Iseyin Weavers Association on the Iseyin Aso Ofi International Market. He added that the Aso Ofi business is the highest employer of labour in Iseyin.
Present at the event were the caretaker chairman of Iseyin local government, Mr. Abilawon Mufutau Osunolale, Caretaker chairman of Araromi LCDA, Comrade Timothy Ogunleke Olugbade, caretaker chairman, Iseyin South LCDA, Hon Fasasi Raheem Ajibola, National President, Iseyin Development Union (IDU), Alhaji Bayo Raji, PDP Party leaders in Iseyin and others.
While speaking, Mr. Abilawon Mufutau Osunolale, Caretaker Chairman, Iseyin Local government commended the lawmaker for giving back to his people. He thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for the opportunity giving to him to serve the people of Iseyin. He said he has been able to restore electricity to the Iseyin local government secretariat complex which has been in darkness before his assumption of office, drilled of boreholes, opened access roads, and many others. He promised to build on the footprint of the Makinde-led government. He added that he will do more in the health sector, road construction, Agriculture, and many others for the benefits of all residents.
Also speaking, Caretaker chairman of Araromi LCDA in Ado Awaye, Comrade Timothy Ogunleke Olugbade thanked Governor Seyi Makinde for the renewed opportunity given to serve again. He said despite meeting an empty treasury in the council, he has been able to carry out projects for the benefits of the people. He listed motorised two boreholes in Ado Awaye, 7 Generator sets, and 2 pumping machines for the existing boreholes to make them functional, grading of roads, the opening of access roads, and other roads.
