As Oyo State’s partial stay at home continues to curtail the spread of COVID-19, Oyo lawmaker representing Ibadan North State constituency 2, Hon. Babajide Adebayo has distributed food items and other relief materials to his constituents.
Adebayo, who also doubles as the Chairman House Committee on Human Rights, noted that the situation in the country deserves the attention and contributions of everyone.
According to him, Nigeria is one of the countries with the lowest number of COVID-19 patients, adding that the nation and Oyo State deserves commendation in handling the pandemic.
He said, “The food items and other relief materials distributed to the less privileged people in every ward of Ibadan North Constituency 2 are part of my commitment to the well being of our people, as efforts towards cushioning the effects of the present curfew in the State.
“COVID-19 is a global pandemic, we must do everything to curtail the spread of the virus by maintaining social distance, washing of hands properly with soap and clean water, sanitize our hands with alcohol-based sanitizer.
“I implore our people to reach out to Oyo state Covid-19 Task Force team, in case of any symptom. I believe with God on our side, this time shall pass soon.”
