The Chairman of Oyo State Housing Corporation, Barr.Bayo Lawal has enjoined the management of the First Technical University to perfect the transfer of the headquarters of the defunct Ajoda New town to the institution.
Bar Lawal stated this during a meeting with the Vice Chancellor and two other principal officers of the university at the Bodija headquarters of the corporation.
According to Barr.Lawal, the purported transfer of the property to the institution without proper documentation did not confer any title on the university.
He pointed out that unless the university regularises its holding, the ownership in the eyes of the law has not changed hands.
Responding, the vice chancellor of the First Technical University, Ibadan, Professor Ayobami Salami assured the chairman that the institution would heed the advice.
He expressed appreciation to the chairman for his fatherly and professional advice which could not be taken for granted.
It would be recalled that the immediate past governor of the state through a pronouncement transferred the imposing edifice located at Ajoda, in Egbeda local government to the university for its takeoff.
