Oyo state gubernatorial aspirant, Dr Usman Ololade Bakare has felicitated with Christians across the globe on the occasion of this year’s Christmas and New Year.
Dr Bakare in a statement made available to press in Ibadan on Wednesday said Christmas is a reminder of enduring values of love, sacrifice, compassion and hope that bind Christians together as one despite ethnic and background differences.
The cyber security expert said Christmas season calls to care for one another, uplift the vulnerable in the society and strengthen the bonds of unity that make Christians resilient and proud.
He added that: “the passing year has tested our patience and resolve, yet it has also revealed the remarkable strength, creativity and perseverance of the good people of Oyo State. Over the last one year, I have seen the spirit of hard work, enterprise and solidarity that convinced me that Oyo State is destined for greater heights through the IGBEGA OYO Project”.
“As we step into the New Year, let us renew our faith with a promise of better tomorrow. Together, with visionary leadership and collective effort, we will build Oyo state where citizens across our 5 zones feel safe, empowered and hopeful.
“May this Christmas bring peace to homes of every Oyo citizens and beyond, and may the New Year 2026 usher in prosperity, progress and renewed confidence in our shared destiny. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy Prosperous New Year”.
