The Oyo State Governorship Aspirant, Olaoluwa Peter Abidemi popularly called OPA has personally donated 10 computer laptops for the use of soon to take of National Open University of Nigeria, (NOUN), ICT centre in Oyo federal constituency.
The donation was part of Olaoluwa’s contribution to improve the technological skill of learners at the University.
Olaoluwa made the donation through his aide and secretary, Peter Olaoluwa Foundation POF, Ademola Joseph Dopamu to the Onifiditi of Fiditi, His Royal Highness, Oba Sakirudeen Adekola Oyelere at his palace.
Olaoluwa explained that it is the responsibility of all sons and daughters of Oyo to ensure that the NOUN centre take off on a good and smooth note.
He added that with the presence of the University in Fiditi, Afijio local government, in Oyo Federal Constituency, there will be rapid development across the zone.
While appreciating the passion and commitment of Oba Sakirudeen Adekola Oyelere, Olaoluwa described the action and commitment of the Monarch as a thing of joy and highly commendable.
“Let me say here that it is my joy to support this initiative with this set of computers, which is the first batch. I want to enjoin other indigenes of Oyo to emulate what we have done because government alone cannot do it all.
“We must join hands together to continue to build the future of our land.”
In his remarks, the Onifiditi of Fiditi, Oba Sakirudeen Adekola Oyelere said the project will bring the expected development to the zone.
Oba Sakirudeen Adekola Oyelere commended Olaoluwa for not relenting in making teaching and learning conducive in the University among many other laudable projects he has done in the zone.
