A day after insideoyo.com published the story about the collapsed Agunpopo-Ajegunle Bridge in Atiba local government, the state government yesterday visited the site.
Insideoyo.com had reported how people living in communities under Agunpopo and Ajegunle have been experiencing hardships since the bridge collapsed more than three months ago.
Speaking with insideoyo.com after the visit, Engr. Yakubu said paper works have begun, expressing optimism that work will start immediately necessary paper works have been completed.
The commuters are finding it difficult as motorcyclists are the only set of people making good business on the route and we all know the implications of okada as you now see aged woman on top of bikes.
A concerned citizen, had called insideoyo.com’s attention, to the collapsed when he said the “local government is not on ground in Oyo, the state should come to the aid of the suffering masses who are facing untold hardship for more than 3 months running now.”
