In its efforts to empower the youths in the state, Oyo State Government through the Ministry of Trade and Investment has collaborated with the Nigeria Export Promotion Council and Femi Handbags ( Mrs Femi Olayebi CEO) to train 150 youths in the area of manufacturing of hand bags, corporate bags, wallets and other leather items for export.
The last batch of the trainees of 150 talented youths have been engaged in the last two weeks in an intensive workshop which involved creative, technical and practical aspect of leather and leather product making. This set graduation ceremony holds tomorrow Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Jericho Training School opposite Ibadan North West Local Government Secretariat, Ibadan.
The Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Princess Taibat Adeyemi Agaba explained that the training will be part of an empowerment programme embarked upon by the state Government to assist unemployed but talented youths and support entrepreneur skills.
This is also in line with the Government’s effort in diversifying non-oil exportation.
