Former governor and candidate of the Action Democratic Party (ADP), Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala; African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate, Senator Olufemi Lanlehin; Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Mr Seyi Makinde; and Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) candidate, Chief Sharafadeen Alli are expected to meet in Ibadan today to discuss formidable alliance against ruling APC.
The four major opposition governorship candidates are expected to meet at the residence of the Alao-Akala’s residence, Nigerian Tribune gathered.
Makinde, Lanlehin, Alli confirmed the meeting and the agenda on table is the need to adopt the opposition party with the best performance in the National Assembly.
The governorship candidate of such party will also be jointly adopted by other candidates
The meeting will come less than 24 hours to the Presidential and National Assembly elections rescheduled for Saturday, February 23 and the gubernatorial election on March 9.
If the alliance works out, the opposition party will put the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in a tight corner during the elections.
